With the weather warming up, we are dreaming of the beach weddings and waterfront views. Lucky for us, we live within driving distance of both the east and west coasts of Florida! So, to kick off wedding season, we hosted a styled shoot that is perfect for an intimate tropical chic wedding. Of course, we invited some of our favorite vendors to help showcase just how beautiful and modern a tropical wedding can be!
When choosing a venue for your ideal wedding, we encourage our couples to venture outside the box of your traditional beach venues and seek out their favorite waterfront restaurant. Salt Shack On The Bay provides the perfect venue for our shoot without the extra sand in your shoes. With this hidden gem right on the waters of Tampa Bay, photographer Carrie Wildes Photography was able to capture some gorgeous photos of our couple. From the private dock to the sandy beach, you have the ultimate view of the stunning Tampa sunset, no matter where you look.
The plus side of choosing your favorite waterfront restaurant for your wedding; the fresh local flavors of Tampa Bay! Salt Shack is known for their delicious seafood, (Yum – Crab Cakes!) and we know that your wedding guests will be pleased with their upscale and Florida focused menu.
We can’t have a tropical chic wedding without bright and lush florals. Jennie’s took our vision and made our dreams come true with pops of bright floral and our signature palm leaves. Enhancing the view, a simple circular arch with floral design was perfect for the ceremony. We are still swooning over this arch!
Before we get into the reception details, we need to talk wedding dresses for tropical chic weddings! When choosing your perfect dress, think about your venue and location! The beachy breeze is ideal for that flowy gown you have been eyeing and this one, from Truly Forever Bridal, was the perfect look for the occasion. We loved the way the dress flowed with the breeze and when the sun hit it just right, it sparkled like the crystal waters. While the bride will always be the center of attention, we can’t forget about the groom, who was dressed to impress in a more casual, yet sophisticated Grey suit. Truely Forever Bridal provided the perfect wardrobe that exceeded our expectations and fit our vision perfectly!
At Socialite Events, designing is our passion and we left no detail out in this wedding reception! We carried over the Tropical wedding theme on the dining tables, accenting each one with a water-blue table runner and beautiful tropical centerpieces. Each setting was elegantly designed to include clear gold rimmed chargers and coordinating gold flatware, to create an upscale tropical vibe. One of our favorite details were the monstera palm leaves, hand-lettered by Beautiful Ways Designs. These palm leaves replaced your traditional escort or seating cards and added just the right detail to each setting. Incorporating the wooden crossback chairs and the wooden head table tied the tropical theme together perfectly.
At the end of the day, this styled shoot showcased a beautiful tropical wedding in the new wedding and event space at Salt Shack On The Bay and we couldn’t have done it without the partnership of our amazing local vendors!
