Frequently Asked Questions For Weddings

12-15 months is the recommended time to begin planning. Venues begin filling prime dates as early as a year in advance. We always recommend booking your must-have vendors (including your wedding planner) as soon as possible to ensure their availability on your date.

What is the difference between a wedding coordinator and a venue coordinator?

We get this question all the time! The venue coordinator's focus is on the venue, and they are a part of your overall vendor team.

Your wedding coordinator's focus is on YOU and your wedding specifics. They manage all of the hired vendors, the wedding day timeline, your personal needs, family, and friends.

I just need a day-of planner, not someone in advance. Why don't you offer that package?

A seasoned wedding planning company won't offer a package that includes a planner showing up on the day of a wedding because it leaves too much room for errors.

Instead, we like to meet with our couples and receive a full download of the months of planning they've already done. We'll do things such as review vendor contracts for accuracy, personally confirm vendor time arrivals, review what vendors are bringing, and get familiar with the on-site contact.

Our customized timeline is based on our knowledge of the day in advance and takes hours to put together. 

We also get to know our couples during our time together. We get to know their wedding vision in detail, so we can properly facilitate their wedding. On our final calls with our clients, we always ask questions and review our checklist to ensure they've thought of everything they need to have a flawless wedding!

Do you have a preferred vendor list?

We sure do! Our carefully curated list of preferred vendors features the best of the best in each of our markets. It's taken us years to cultivate and we truly believe in each and every vendor we recommend. Each of our couples receives this list when they book with us. Another reason to book us early on in the planning process!

Why Is Hiring a Certified Wedding Planner Important?

A planner who is Certified through the Wedding Planner Society has taken and passed a rigorous certification course that encompasses all areas of planning. This certification ensures that they not only have field experience but also practical information specific to the wedding industry.

Do you have people to assist with setup, etc.?

Socialite Events will set up your standard wedding personal items like your card box, guest book, sand ceremony items, seating chart, table numbers, toasting flutes, cake topper, and cake knife/server. If you have more décor that needs to be set up please get in touch with your planner to discuss the additional labor needed.

Yes, we have an amazing team of vendors we love working with. However, our clients vision comes first and we don’t limit ourselves to just our vendor list. 

Socialite Events takes a proactive approach while on-site, always working to stay ahead of potential issues. This includes conducting final walkthroughs, holding last-minute meetings with vendors, and following a comprehensive timeline.

Socialite Events creates a timeline that includes all details of the event. This schedule is distributed to all parties involved in planning. On-site our team is managing all vendors and clients to ensure the schedule is on track.

All emails are returned within 24 hours. While actively planning we schedule weekly calls with the planning team. During an event we are available 24/7 to our clients.
