In the heart of downtown St. Pete is Red Mesa Cantina, a historic wedding venue and the perfect location for The Chavers’ to celebrate their special day! This fun-loving couple hosted an intimate wedding and used this historic site as their inspiration. Originally St. Pete’s very first fire station, Red Mesa Cantina is now a stunning wedding and event space with exposed brick walls, modern chandeliers, and herringbone wood floors. Between the upscale Mexican Cuisine (Duck Tacos anyone?) and the Boho style décor, this was the perfect location!
We love when a couple decides to do a first look – it is always an emotional and private moment between the bride and groom! Before the festivities began, Jenny and Bryan met on the De Santo Rooftop was a special getaway and took in a few moments together.
Jenny and Bryan chose golds and muted pinks and ivory as their main colors, then added candlelight and greenery to create a romantic and Boho look. One of the highlights of the décor was held by the bride herself! Her bouquet was huge and so gorgeous, made with creams, pinks and eucalyptus. Truly one of the most spectacular bouquets!
While the ballroom transformed from ceremony to reception, Cantinita Terrace hosted the cocktail hour. The indoor/outdoor feel was perfect for this sunny Florida day. Everyone enjoyed the time to mingle and enjoy some light refreshments!
Mexican food is the specialty of the restaurant, so this specialty taco bar was a natural fit and exactly what the bride and groom wanted! Their classic white cake with floral accents was a focal point of its own with a romantic setup that included greenery and candles.
While they wanted the traditional elements like the first dance observed, this couple was all about the dancing and fun for their reception! The toasts were full of memories and laughter, love filled the room all day. This St. Patrick’s Day wedding was celebrated on the date the couple met, so it was only fitting that their wedding favor was custom green koozies! It was the perfect personal touch to highlight this important day!
We were thrilled to help Jenny and Bryan have the wedding of their dreams, full of happiness and most of all FUN! Their day was a great reminder that at the end of it all, you want to look back and smile as you flip through those pictures, I know we certainly do! Cheers!
