How The Fun Started
Both Elizabeth and Andrew attended the University of Central Florida and even had tons of mutual friends. But somehow they never ran into each other. Then 5 years ago they connected and the love story began. As they started planning their dream wedding they used 3 words to encompass everything they wanted – timeless, elegant, fun.
Park Avenue in Winter Park, FL has always been their go to Friday night date location. Elizabeth takes the Sunrail and Andrew drives from work. Most nights they get dinner. However, July 22, 2022, was a little different. As Elizabeth walked off the train to meet Andrew for dinner at Prato, he was standing in the park ready to propose. And so the fun begins. For that reason, Winter Park became the location for their wedding.
Planning The Wedding
First they knew they wanted to get married at their church, St. Margaret Mary located on Park Avenue, Winter Park. Next they wanted to ensure a convenient experience for their guests. Therefore they chose the Alfond Inn as their reception location. As a result their guests were able to stay on property, walk to all of the wedding events and enjoy exploring all that Winter Park has to offer. Without a doubt the absolutely stunning beauty of The Alfond Inn drew them in and created a memorable time for them and their guests.
Working with Socialite Event Planning allowed Elizabeth to breath and enjoy the process. Elizabeth says, “I loved that Stephanie was a text away and was able to be a therapist and friend through it all. Leading up to the wedding I had no stress, and that was all due to knowing the team would handle anything that came their way and I had full trust in them.”
Saving and Splurging On Wedding Details
Elizabeth and Andrew decided that entertainment was the part of their wedding they were willing to splurge on. As a result, they booked the 11 piece C’Nergy Band and these newly weds couldn’t be more happy. The reception was extremely memorable. Elizabeth said, “It was so great to be with friends and family to celebrate our marriage. At that point (at the reception), everyone was there to have fun and our band ensured the energy was up the entire time!” As a matter of fact, the band is what everyone is still talking about. For this couple, this splurge was totally worth it.
On the other hand, they worked with Linens & Flowers Design and decided to opt for more greenery within their flowers in order to save (slightly) on florals.
Advice From Bride to Bride
We asked Elizabeth what advice would she give couples planning a wedding and her response was, “I think it’s easier said than done, but don’t sweat the small stuff. The guests are truly there to witness the love of a couple and have a fun time and that’s all that matters at the end of the day!”
