How did you meet?
We were set up with my aunt and his mom. They knew we would be a perfect match. There were 100% RIGHT! It was meant to be at first.
Tell me about the proposal!
He proposed on a family trip to key at sunset. (I had no clue!! ) My family was there and they were able to watch the whole thing. It was such a special memory. Before the proposal, he told me that my dad asked him to wait until Christmas. I was so upset because I did not want to wait. But the whole time I thought we were going to get engaged at Christmas time.
What’s your favorite thing to do for date night?
We keep it simple. We enjoy spending time together. We love to ride side by side around the woods and watch the sunset.
What was the most memorable part of your wedding day?
I honestly enjoyed every part of the day! I enjoyed being with my girls getting ready, I enjoyed walking over the bridge with my dad, and I enjoyed saying ” I do” to my favorite person. But my favorite part of the day was during the reception Collin told me to look around, and take it in. It was like I was looking at my dream as a little girl. It was my wedding and I will never forget that moment!!
Why did you select your venue?
We fell in love with the area, we love to go air boating at camp mac so it was a perfect way to incorporate what we love to do. The guys got to go out on the lake the Friday before the wedding.
Why did you want to hire Socialite Events?
We needed help with organization and finding vendors.
What advice would you give to couples planning a wedding?
Get a wedding planner ASAP!! You will be so thankful and you will enjoy the day so much more. Also RELAX!
